NVQ Training Programme
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
LCH continues to build on its successful National Vocational Qualifications strategy, which follows the process of training managers/deputies as NVQ assessors who then support NVQ candidates to complete their award. The training of 3 new assessors (total 5) and an Internal Verifier has been completed.
As a requirement of the Care Standards Act 2000, and in keeping with good practice, staff at all levels are encouraged to maintain a personal CPD portfolio.
CPD relates to an individual training needs assessment, recorded in the annual appraisal and reviewed during supervision. A summary of learning needs and objectives, along with an up-to-date record of all training attended forms the basis of a CPD portfolio. Certificates, reference lists and research documents are also included. |
